COMING SOON
I look forward to improving the quality of life for people through fitness. More to come...
The story is just beginning...
Get to Know Me
Understanding what humans are capable of when it comes to strength, balance and flexibility isn't always easy to see.
Oftentimes, assumptions are made about individuals who don't fit the traditional athletic mold.
Whether they're too tall or too short or too heavy or not coordinated or they just don't have the body or a brain of an athlete - they're told they should "sit this one out"
But when they DO get invited to participate, it's at a level with the lens of "oh, they can't do too much, so we'll take it easy"
Not in a way that is tailored to appropriate accommodations, but in a way that makes judgement before they even pick up a weight.
That doesn't sit right with me.
Over the last 12 years, I've had the privilege to bring the joy of fitness to hundreds of people through group exercise classes and gymnastics training.
I've seen people come in the gym that are brave and strong and scared. Brave to take the step. Strong to keep going. And afraid they'll be judged or treated like they don't belong.
I see them. They know I see them, and they know this time it's going to be different.
The greatest joy I have in life is seeing people find themselves. Believing in themselves. Conquering things they didn't think possible. Setting a goal and reaching it. Feeling stronger not just physically, but mentally. Growing into the person that's hiding underneath the shame and fear and continued perception of NO YOU CAN'T.
Well guess what...
YES YOU CAN!
I am combining my knowledge of the human movement system and passion for serving people who deserve the best to offer personal training services, but it's more than personal training. It's a path to getting better sleep, thinking more clearly, feeling comfortable, confident, and ready to attack each day with excitement and passion.
It's not always easy.
Every day isn't sunshine and rainbows and fitness and muscles.
Some days are sad and gray and hard and tired and lots and lots and lots of ice cream.
That's okay.
I'm not taking that away from you.
We need those days.
We can honor the moments that we just can't push through.
But then..
We remember
And get up
And get moving.
And feel stronger
And accomplished
And grateful
Because we are here and we can do amazing things!
It takes work
It takes time
It takes someone to believe in you to remind you how to believe in yourself.
You've got this.
I am proud to be a NASM Certified Personal Trainer. My goal with Born 2B Strong is to empower those who are often judged because of their disability.
Born 2B Strong is for people who've been overlooked, underestimated, and told that the gym isn't for them.
Getting stronger isn't about looking a certain way.
It's about having more energy, building confidence, and increasing mental clarity.
I use an evidence based approach across cardio, strength, and flexibility to meet my client's where they're at. My mission is to understand their goals and ultimately help change how they feel, how they move, and how they show up in life.
That's what getting stronger really looks like.
You are strong, and you belong.
